There is a hole in the ground.
[[Jump in.]]
[[Leave.]]
You step to the edge of the hole and peer into the darkness. You can't tell what's at the bottom, but this whole thing smacks of adventure. You leap in with reckless abandon.
[[weeeeee->bottom of the hole]]You turn away from the hole and continue on your way. "That doesn't seem safe." you say to yourself.
You spend the rest of the day feeling very good about how reasonably you handled the situation. Later, you die to Capra Demon.As you hit the ground you deftly tuck your shoulder and roll forward, leaping to your feet. If there was a table of judges they would hold up 10s, but you didn't stick the landing. Also, the small, dark room you find yourself in is completely empty. A heavy wooden door sits closed in the wall across from you, and a single torch set in a sconce throws shadows across the wet, uneven brick walls. The dirt floor is packed in tight, and is fairly featureless save for a few twigs and a small pile of animal bones.
[[Search the bones]]
[[Grab the torch]]
[[Break down the door->corridor 1]]You get down on your hands and knees, in the dark, on the dirt, and begin to rummage around a small pile of old animal bones. With your bare hands.
[[Don't judge me.->sorry]]
[[And? Is there anything there?->find stick buddy]]grabbing the torch allows you to scare off the minotaur
if you go this way the torches go out and the minotaur chases you to the exit you see the minotaur but he stays out of the light - go this way to scare him with the torch, without torch the lights go out and you get chased to the rightThe small, dark room you find yourself in is still completely empty. A heavy wooden door sits closed - but not locked - in the wall across from you, and a single torch set in a sconce throws shadows across the wet, uneven brick walls. The dirt floor is packed in tight, and is fairly featureless save for a few twigs and a small pile of animal bones.

[[Grab the torch]]
[[Open the door slowly and deliberately.->corridor 1b]]You stand in a long dark corridor, feeling less silly. The air is heavy with moisture and smells of sweat. You can make out a weak burning torch about 20 feet to your right and one to your left.
[[Go right.]]
[[Go left.]] You charge into the door, putting all of your weight behind your shoulder. It turns out the door was unlocked, and as you slam through the doorway it bounces off the wall and back into its frame. You stand in a long dark corridor, feeling a little silly. The air is heavy with moisture and smells of sweat. You can make out a weak burning torch about 20 feet to your right and one to your left.
[[Go right.]]
[[Go left.]]
[[Go back through the door.->bottom of the hole b]]Sorry.
[[So was there anything in there?->find stick buddy]]Yes, actually. You find a small piece of wood, like a bit of a branch that has been broken off. Its ends are worn flat, and one side is notched with crude markings - runes or tally marks, perhaps. You think part of it looks like a funny little face.
[[Wave it around.]]
[[Pocket it.->take stick buddy]]
[[Put it back.->leave stick buddy]]you pocket the stick
You hold the stick at arms length and focus your eyes and your will on the old wood in your hands. You bend your knees and wave the wood in a wide arc through the air, flicking your wrist at the end of the motion.
Nothing happens. It's just a stick. Magic probably isn't real.
